Mission Statement

Our Mission, Vision, Organisation Values & Strategic Plan for Dr Parry Homes Inc.

Our Mission

Our mission is to strengthen our community by providing affordable, age-appropriate housing for vulnerable people over 55, in a community setting that will foster human interaction to eliminate loneliness.

Our Vision

To address the current housing crisis and any future housing crisis in our community and surrounds for the over 55s population.

Organisation Values

  • DIGNITY – We believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity. People should have an affordable, fit-for-purpose home that allows them to live through their later stages of life in comfort.
  • INCLUSION – We embrace diversity in our community and believe that we are all equal, and that everyone has something to offer to enrich our community
  • RESPONSIBILITY –We feel a responsibility to our community to help our over 55 residents have a safe home to age in place in. We will ensure, to the best of our ability, that over 55s do not end up either homeless and sleeping rough, or couch surfing. We have a specific focus on the population of over 55 women in our community who do not have the financial resources to afford appropriate housing.
  • RESPECT – We respect everybody’s right to privacy and encourage all our residents to respect each other’s right to live in peace and security.
  • COLLABORATION - We believe that when everyone works together great things can be achieved.
  • INNOVATION – We believe in doing things right the first time and being proactive to ensure the future of the community through good planning and development.

STRATEGIC PLAN 2024-2029

Dr Parry memorial Homes Inc has undertaken a strategic planning process to guide the organisation forward for the next 5 years.

The new strategic plan responds to the identified need for affordable housing for Temora’s over 55s population.

The Plan reinforces the organisation’s vision to support isolated and lonely people in our community by developing a new affordable seniors housing precinct.

2039 Strategic Vision

By 2039, Temora’s population will have a large proportion of people aged over 55 than ever before in its history. The need for affordable accommodation that enables people to age in place with the provision of services in the home will be at its peak, and Temora needs to plan for this need.

Women will be a focus group as they experience more poverty in retirement due to limited superannuation savings.

The Apollo Place development will be a key initiative to address these future needs.

Dr Parry memorial Homes Inc takes the view that it is imperative to be positioned to be able to offer such community lifestyle to the local area and surrounds.
